beach blanketsPeople who live in sunny California, near the ocean on the West Coast, the Carolinas on the East Coast and in states like Louisiana, Georgia and Mississippi to the south all experience warm weather throughout the year no matter what the calendar may say.  People who live in these states enjoy weekends at the beach and many different types of water sports including surfing, boating, parasailing or snorkeling.  While others may simply lay on the beach, perhaps on somewhat of a large beach blankets made for two or more people, soaking up the sun, others may use a laptop to check their e-mail, read a book or play a board game with friends.

Some of the beach blankets and beach towels are made into game boards like the  red beach towels that resemble a checker board game.

Although beach blankets and beach towels are mainly used to dry off after a dip in a pool or the beach, there are many other uses for beach towels and beach blankets.  Since beach towels are made of a thick and absorbent material, they can be used as table cloths and then matching beach towels could be used as seat cushions to tie a table together in a fashionable and carefree outdoor style.

When the family is packing to go on vacation, they might pack brightly colored pink beach towels in their carry-on luggage for several reasons.  One reason is that brightly colored pink beach towels are easily spotted on a crowded beach so everyone in the family or party knows where everyone else is if they happen to get separated.  By placing the beach towels in your carry-on, they can double as blankets when the plane gets chilly; pillows when a person wants to sleep on the plane or in an airport while waiting for their plane to take off or even as seat cushions at the airport for some of those seats can be very difficult to sit on for long periods of time.  Upon arrival at your destination, if the hotel is not ready for you and your children, which is often the case; you can head directly to the pool or the ocean to begin your family fun instead of waiting around in a hotel lobby.
